Eye glassess Do I need coating, tint, and poly on one pair of glasses?

Answers:   This question, as worded, doesn't make a lot of sense. But it comes down to this: You aren't REQUIRED to get any add-ons for lenses. You may want some or all of them, though.

Instead of guessing, I suggest you ask the dispenser what each of these things means and what each does, so you can then make an informed decision as to whether to get them or not.

By the way, if "poly" means "polycarbonate", be aware that it's a sucky lens material, and there are much better, if somewhat more expensive, options if you want a thinner lens.
Unless someone else is paying for the glasses, you can pretty much get anything you want. Since this question was posted in the UK, I'm not sure about laws over there. Most places in the US will not put children under 12 in anything other than polycarbonate because it is a more impact resistant material unless they are out of range for that material. Optics-wise, there are much better lenses.
